The Avanti C6 28 is a floor standing three way bass reflex system housed in a
balanced luxury veneered enclosure. The drive unit complimentation consists of
a unique 25mm carbon fibre high frequency unit, with a new Rogers 165mm mid-range
unit and a new Rogers 210mm woofer. The carbon fibre tweeter combines the pistonic
performance of a metal dome but exhibiting a distortion characteristic closer
to a soft dome. The high frequency performance has excellent attack with an open
and natural decay. The 165mm mid-range unit is built on a new Rogers die cast
chassis and utilises an injected moulded polypropylene cone for improved mid-band
performance. The 210mm woofer is built on a new Rogers die cast chassis with a
substantial low distortion magnet system giving optimal damping and accurate bass
performance. The Rogers crossover is essentially second order low pass,
third order high pass, and is hard wired directly to both the input terminals
and drive units. The crossover is bi-wireable to ensure maximum performance. Particular
attention has been paid to component type and position to ensure an even tonal
and dispersion performance. |
